The Unity Group is a grassroots organization made up of people of faith and social activists who are committed to the causes of racial, social, and economic justice and dismantling systemic racism at the local, regional and national levels.

As of now, the SF Unity Group will not hold in-person meetings. Monthly meetings have moved to ZOOM every second Thursday of the month from, 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm. To join our next meeting, please click the button above to send us an email indicating your interest.

This committee meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00PM Pacific Time. This group works to eliminate mass incarceration and dismantling the Cradle-to-Prison-Pipeline. Focus areas include Improving all aspects of policing, Eliminating police brutality, Improving screening of applicants for jobs as police officers, Exploring creating a department of unarmed community workers, Emphasizing rehabilitation instead of punishment, Expanding job training to incarcerated individuals, Advocating for increased spending for re-entry services, Eliminating cash bail and more.

Our Health and General Welfare Committee focus is to advocate for and partner with local organizations to support local, underserved communities' access to culturally appropriate health care, nutritional education and healthy foods, housing security, safe spaces for physical activity, and mental health and substance abuse services. We also focus on safety from violence and trauma by looking to address gun violence in communities of color.

Focus areas include Safe & affordable housing for no-, low- and middle-income families and individuals, Reducing and eliminating homelessness and helping un-housed individuals and families, Supporting job training and job placement services, Supporting programs that seek to keep the racial balance of San Francisco and reverse the decline of the Black population in our community, Gentrification, Reparations and more.
